At the Austria Center in Vienna, from February 13th to the 15th, the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN GIFT) will be hosting the Vienna Forum to Fight Human Trafficking. The conference invites basically all people who are involved in anti-trafficking work (from government to civic activists) to attend the plenary sessions, panel discussions, and workshops that address three over-riding themes- Vulnerability: why does human trafficking happen; Impact: the human and social consequences of human trafficking; and Action: innovative approaches to solving complex problems.
The website for the forum is online and provides all information relevant to the conference and includes a page where you can register to attend. They allow a limited number of organizations to set up booths with information materials, handouts, project exhibitions, etc. and there is a separate page for those interested in that. Hopefully I'll be able to go, although the Telders Moot Court Competition is that Saturday and I coach one of Ukraine's teams so that may get complicated.
