Get Involved: HTP Content Contributors

Help build the Human Trafficking Project into an informational resource of news articles, analysis and insights for researchers and individuals interested in learning more about trafficking!

Are you a researcher? A student? A social worker? An advocate? A lawyer? A volunteer?

We are looking for gifted writers who are passionate about raising awareness of human trafficking and are ready and willing to provide analysis on current efforts to combat trafficking, report on new, innovative anti-trafficking strategies, interview organizations around the world that are making a difference, review trafficking news articles, attend and report on trafficking-related conferences and in general share their opinions and insights on everything that is trafficking (whew, that was a lot in one sentence).

We can't promise you fame and fortune (although site traffic is steadily growing, these are unpaid positions), but we can promise a forum where you can help raise awareness of trafficking and have your opinions heard.

Direct experience in the field is appreciated but by no means required. There is a lot of work to do and a lot of awareness to raise- together we can make a difference!

Time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.

Please email a sample blog (e.g. what would you write for your first HTP post?) and a brief description of your experience and interest in trafficking to writers@traffickingproject.org.

Thank you for your continued support!

By the way, I read some of the articles in your archive and I'm impressed. You guys really do a lot of research and I like it. I think I'm going to enjoy reading this site. I would definitely love to be involved!

  3. I am a mother of three and have family in the phillipines. I was moved when I learned about trafficking in the phillipines and well everywhere, even here in the states. I want to be involved as well as my husband. Anything we can do to help and stop this, I'm not a writter but I have seen so much and I'm ready to finally try to do something instead of nothing.

An incredibly disgusting and despicable crime that has been overlooked for far too long. Often ending in injustice and a lifetime of paranoia for the victim, along with an inability to perform normal daily functions or develop healthy intimate relationships with other human beings.

Something has to be done about this problem NOW because it's only getting worse. I am afraid to put children on this earth for reasons such as this. Some of these teens (in the land of the free, home of the brave, of course!) were coaxed into these situations by girls their own age who they thought were their friends. As a young girl, if you can't trust your 13 year old best friend not to throw you into a car, forcing you into an almost inescapable life of prostitution, rape, abuse & drugs... then who CAN you trust?

I want to do everything I can to help with this cause. For the sake of our future generations, let's work on stopping this problem instead of cleaning up the after effects. It's unacceptable, especially the fact that the criminals almost always face absolutely no form of consequence but a bad reputation.

COUNT ME IN. Please contact me ASAP. Thank you

    - I have such a burden for victims of human trafficking. I want to help raise awareness so bad... I yearn with a passion to do it... I may only be 16 years old but I write really well.
I am known for getting my opinion known and having my voice heard. I have many connections in my neighborhood, including church, school, and community. I would love to get involved with one of these organizations. I have filled out so many forms for so many organizations but i have not gotten any responses. I have also gotten numbers and addresses. I am so dedicated to helping stop this terrible tragedy.
